Update a book you already wrote

Bring your old book back to life

The book you wrote in 2016 still sells — with 2016’s numbers in it. Upload it and Wrightebook diagnoses every chapter: stale figures, dead links, missing developments, tone drift. You choose which findings to fix; it rewrites in the voice you already had.

Upload and diagnose

Diagnosis ≈ 3 credits per chapter · you choose which findings to fix

Last updated 27 August 2026

[1]Upload anything

Your book comes back as an editable manuscript.

  • PDF, DOCX or EPUB

Chapters, headings and structure are read back in. No copy-pasting into a text box.

  • Your tone, detected

The diagnosis learns how you write from the pages you already wrote, so every fix is in that register.

  • Nothing changes yet

Uploading is free. The first thing you see is a report, not a rewritten book.

[2]The diagnosis

A report you can read before you spend.

Every finding shows the sentence, why it is out of date, and what the fix would be — with evidence.

  • Stale figures and dates

“Over 500 million users” was true in 2016. The report shows the current number and its source.

  • Renamed, replaced, shut down

Tools, companies and links that no longer exist — with the suggested replacement.

  • What the book predates

Developments your chapters could not have known about, so you can add a section or a chapter.

[3]Fix what you choose

[4]Questions

What authors ask about this

What can I upload?

A PDF, DOCX or EPUB of your book. Wrightebook reads the chapters back into an editable manuscript, keeping your headings and structure.

What does the diagnosis find?

Stale figures and dates, tools and companies that were renamed or shut down, dead links, developments the book predates, and drift in tone between chapters. Each finding shows the sentence, the evidence and the suggested fix.

Will it rewrite my book in a different voice?

No. Fixes are applied as tracked changes inside your own sentences. A full tone rewrite is a separate, optional step you choose per chapter.

What does an update cost?

Diagnosis is 3 credits per chapter, each fix you accept is 1 credit, and a tone rewrite is 2 per chapter. Updating a 14-chapter book with 31 fixes is about 73 credits — you see the number before you approve anything.

Can I add new chapters to the old book?

Yes. Approve new chapters in the outline and they are researched and drafted with citations, in the tone the diagnosis found in your existing chapters.

Upload it, read the diagnosis, approve the fixes. Same voice, current facts, a new edition on the same listing.
